How to make a design wall fast, easy, and inexpensively
1 Attachment(s)
I posted my new design walls last week and mentioned I was writing a tute for it. I try to write a quick tute for any new technique that I do because my memory is not what it used to be and I was tired of saying..."Now how did I do that???"

I couldn't get the link to work

You will need to have the free program 'Acrobat Reader' installed on you computer to open the attachment. It can be downloaded at this site http://get.adobe.com/reader/

I love the design walls, thanks.

That is quite brilliant! I love that you put the ribbons on for the lines, but looks so decorative.

If you don't have room for a permanent design wall, just use a flannel backed tablecloth (flannel side up) and staple it to your wall. The regular staples leave very small holes and it is not a problem to remove it if you are having visitors.

Very good tutorial - thank you. I hadn't thought of angling the pins - my experience was pushing them straight in (or thumb tacks) but it leaves holes in the foam board and then nothing will stick in the holes any more. I'll try slanting. I did make a small one and used felt covering and the block stuck to the felt by itself, but it wasn't a very complicated or heavy block. Thank you again for your tutorial. :-)

Believe it or not buy you can use a straight pin as a nail and it hardly leaves a mark when you take it down. All you need is 4-5 across the top.

Love it...Thanks for the tutorial....
