This is terrific for all of us Hexes lovers. Might try bright colors using black Kona cotton to float the hexes. Can't wait to try this.

Wow! I just found this accidentally through Pinterest and I love it. I've ordered the Large set, now kinda wishing I'd ordered the other sets, too! Aaaarrrggghhhh. I can hardly wait to try it. Just wondering how it would be to use the same technique using the Fun & Done templates. Hmmmmm. Anyway, thank you Eddy for a great tutorial!

I just checked again by googling hickory nut templates and the site is
http://www.hhqsewingcenter.com/shop/Hickory-Nuts.htm Be warned, the postage is very high, but this is the only place to find them. I went ahead and ordered 2 diff. size sets because of the postage. Haven't made any yet. It is on my to do list. Their phone # is (501) 318-2739 or at least that is what it says on their site. Marcia in TX |
Marcia do you mind telling me how much the shipping was. It does not say, and I don't want to put it in the cart without knowing.... thanks for sharing.

Shipping was 9.50 and since I had planned on getting the large hex which was 12.25, shipping was almost as much as the item. So, I went ahead and got the extra large one at 24.95 as well so I wouldn't have that shipping twice if I liked the small one.

Wow, what a tutorial - all those pictures and directions! Anyone wanting to make that pattern will surely benefit from your tutorial!

Great tutorial, you did a great job on it. Now I will have to get the templates.
