Thank you for this chart. I have been putting off playing with the math to figure the finished sizes.

thx sooooo much for sharing this. saves the money of thangels. and all that tearing. hope it works. but of course, we ALL should try just a couple before cutting our whole quilt out. thx. AND OF COURSE THE STARCH OR SIZING.

Sizing is sold in spray cans just like starch & usually in the same area for about $1 a can. Our Walmart has starch & sizing by the laundry soap ,beside softeners.Any kind works ok. If you don't see it, ask a clerk or CS.

I think layer cake squares are 10".
I looked at that site and am wondering what size layer cake squares are. Do you know? They don't say in the "recipe." I don't see any reason to buy a package of squares to make the lap quilt if I have enough fabric to make the squares from my own.
