Jenny Doan also has a tutorial at the Missouri Star Quilt website. Don't need any frogs just press on the diagonal then stitch 1/4" seam on both sides and cut down the fold. Sorry, I don't link well.

Thanks so much for posting this. She mentions "frog tape" but I would imagine painter's tape would work just as well?

I am a little embarrassed to ask this question: What is 'frog tape' ?

Pardon, but if you have dark fabric, you can't see where you're going to stay on that tape edge...

This is a good idea to use painter's tape, but since Frog Tape has something on the sticky side that turns paint into a gel form, I would worry about damage to the finish of the machine or table. Probably nothing. Now we just need a mathematician to tell us what size triangles to begin with to end up with a triangle that doesn't have to be trimmed.

Thanks for sharing this tip. I'm certainly going to try it. If I can get it to work, it will be the fastest way and not have biased edges.

Thanks for this tip. I have not been making them because I do not like the hassle of all that marking

Tape's a good idea, but it actually marked the line on my machine bed with a sharpie. Also marked a line straight down from the needle for when I need that line. ( I also write on my machine needle settings I use a lot.)
