Reverse Applique

WOW! Thank you so much. This looks like I can handle it and it will come in handy on the quilt I am making for a marine. I was wondering how I was going to do the medal but this just might do the trick.

I may have just found the starquilt I wanted to make for a young girl I started a friend ship with a few years ago when she was in Iraq! We have become penpals and she has even been to my house once, I am sort of a "Mom" figure to her
THANKS!
THANKS!

Thank you for the great tutorial! I am trying to reverse applique a block right now so GREAT timing...Did you trim the very tips of the star points and then pivot the needle when sewing it? Thanks again for the Tutorial!

No trimming necessary in the tips, that is where my seam ripper (or a toothpick), open-toe foot, an iron and starch come in handy. Provides a perfect finish, flawless tucking and beautiful professional-looking seams.
