I don't see where everyone gets 162-173 or whatever. I only see the 163 and then the 7 is written over the 6. No 2 in sight.

I believe it's Messrs (abbreviation for Misters). What appears to be a dot on an 'i' looks to me like a pin hole.

Interesting to do an online search for P.B. Goodsell online. There are lots of results, but I couldn't find any reference that he published an endorsement for Singers.
