Default 1888 Frister & Rossman Hand Crank

I found a 1888 Frister & Rossman Hand Crank fiddle base w/mother of pearl inlays w/walnut burl inlay on coffin top box, including key, on eBay, that started at $74.99. Bought it for $93. Has some damage to the coffin top. Looks like it was dropped on the corner, 2 long cracks that radiate out of the corner. Easily glued. Also, a chip on the porcelain hand crank handle. Beautiful marquetry around the burled walnut on the top.
Seller did a great job of packaging. I haven't had a chance to clean it yet, but she looks pretty good to me for 126 years old.

Beautiful! I know I won't look that good if I ever get to be 126 years old. Kidding aside. you can tell there was a lot of pride of ownership.

Sooo .... umm, where do you get needles for an old machine like this? And do you actually use them, or do you just display them?
That's a beautiful machine, were it mine I'd have to use it.

It came w/a needle, probably dull as a hoe. I will search for the needles and acccessories to go with it. I like cleaning and oiling them. Getting them all spiffed up. I display them.
