absentee auction Pfaff 30
I saw this Pfaff at a site for a regional auction. I was curious, but knew I couldn't be at the auction. I called and left a "Do not go over XX bid." I got it for less than half of my bid. woo hoo. Before pictures. More will likley follow. And yes, the legs on the treadle cabinet are wood. 1953 date on the head.

Nice machine. You scored!
You have to watch those auctions. Sometimes, things go really cheap. I think I paid $65.00 for my 130 in the cabinet that the chair slides into. Auctions are how I ended up with so many machines. It's hard to pass them up when they are nice machines and so inexpensive. But, I've found I can't "refurb" as many as I can find. That 130 is in the same condition it was in when I won it a couple of years ago.
Hopefully, you are less scattered and more productive than I am.

Wonderful! I have that same machine in the same cabinet. My cabinet is in what I would call great condition as is the machine. I like the way that piece hooks on the side to extend the sewing area. However, I am missing the knobs and little "key holes" on the drawers and don't expect to ever find them. Guess I will just have to add my own to make it complete but not authentic. I had to go online to get a manual. Enjoy this wonderful machine.
