    I was right there with you, Annette. I was about ready to use force to separate the discs on my W&W when I remembered the whole assembly looked like a Davis. I opened up the Davis and yep, discs were pushed together on a brass sleeve. Whew. Glad I didn't ruin it.

    Now if I could only figure out how come my spring tensioner refuses to hold the thread in the middle! It goes from one side to the next and as a result, upper thread tension is tight and inconsistent. I have checked and rechecked threading, cleaned the spring assembly, checked the spring was installed correctly and double checked that the thread went over both guides within the spring assembly. ARRGH!

    I really wanted to make a quilt with this machine. But the way it is acting? Not for awhile!
