anybody quilt with a walking foot on a singer slant needle 404?
Hi, I've got my eye on a Singer Slant Needle 404. I'd like to take a quilting class but don't want to drag my heavy Emdeko around. So I'm hoping to buy this 404 and use it for straight-line quilting as well as piecing. My understanding is that there isn't a walking foot currently being made for the 404 but that a slant shank walking foot will fit it. Has anyone tried it? How did it work?
I'm trying to find a walking foot for my Emdeko, too. It's a high-shank. Have tried a couple of walking feet on it but they didn't fit.
(Still working on the FMQ thing)
Thanks!

My Singer 404 is in a cabinet. I just got a replacement bobbin cover for it. Had quit using it before I started quilting due to the missing cover. It sews beautifully now that the bobbin isn't playing hopscotch. Lol!
Have not yet looked for a walking foot for it as I have one for my featherweight. But definitely should since it has a much larger throat.
