I just wanted to let everyone know that I brought home the little Bernina yesterday.
The machine had been used at a school to sew numbers on the back of player's jerseys. It sewed beautifully, but neither way to reverse would work. As a result, I schmoozed a deal with the seller who let me have it for $100 off.
My husband David is a major Mr. Fix It, and I figured if he couldn't make it work, then I would take it in for servicing. David spend about 2 hours cleaning, etc. and both ways to reverse are now working! I don't think I will tell the seller because she might want her extra $100.
Have just run a bobbin and threaded the machine with my go to thread, Aurifil and it sews like a dream.
Doing a very large happy dance!
