Congrats! I am in love with my Bernina 640-2 Favorit as well. Not sure how it compares to yours, but it's a cream and green beauty as well. Definitely a great machine for kids clothes as it doesn't fuss over fiddly starts or finishes. If it was a free-arm I'd probably sell all my others and call it a hands-down winner
The free arm of my Bernina 707 is about 50% the width of the free arm of my modern Viking Tribute; it's soooo easier to sew the tiny cuff and hems of kids clothing (I did some mending with it yesterday, and it was finished in a breeze). So I guest I have a hands-down winner I may end up selling my Tribute if my hubby find the Bernina hidden in the cupboard
