Eat your heart out Joe. I bid on this one just for giggles. And I won it. Oh well, at least it is a portable and I can stash it in the closet. There is something about those blue metallic paint jobs that call to me.

You meanie you ....... I'll get one eventually.
I saw that machine and did consider bidding on it but didn't. We're trying to stop acquiring machines for a while. Need to rehome some and make room.

I'd be curious if you can FMQ on yours. I had one just like this that I sold. I found it did not like FMQing!
Was this on E-Bay? If so, how do you find the machines other than putting in a make/ model into the search engine?
This sewing machine was on the Goodwill website, Shopgoodwill.org. I have purchased quite a few machines from Goodwill but now I am only bidding on local pickup machines for my area. I also do a weekly lurk through the closest Goodwill stores in my area. Out of the area sewing machines often have a huge shipping charge and there is always the danger of the sewing machine suffering quite a bit of damage by not being packed well.

How much are the blue guys????
never saw one. Joe, you're right, now that i have a fw, i want more!!!!!
are the blue guys rhe same as a fw, oonly blue?
That's the machine my LQS wants $75 for. It is a pretty shade of blue.
No, Lynnie, these are clones of the Singer 15 so they are much bigger and much heavier than a FW.
Candace, my MW clone didn't want to FMQ, either. I had to use the Necchi when my 301 had cord issues.
My only Goodwill purchase was packed with a lot of heavy bubble wrap, but in a flimsy box too big for it. Surprisingly, it arrived in fine condition.
In the year + we've been getting machines from GW there has only been 3 here in Springfield. 2 of those I got. We've made 4 trips to IN and brought back 6 machines. That's in addition to the ones they shipped to us.
If I had to do PUs only in my area I'd have to find another hobby. This area is devoid of good sewing machines.
