Neat! I was thinking it might go to either a Featherweight also or perhaps a Rocketeer! Are you going to tell us today or make us sweat it out?

That's what I would have said - usually come with Elnas.

Oh, I think it's a feed dog cover for a Feather Weight.

LOL! Joe, If you do have one hanging around, don't lose it. Especially when they come with the embroidery foot, they go into 3 figures on well known auction sites. That means if you want one and can't find the one you have... it's pricey.

You're correct KLO. It's for a featherweight and probably a 301 since they use the same throat plate.
It's a really tight fit on the featherweight and doesn't fit any of the other plates I've tried so far.

They're close but there are definite differences. Here's the Elna one I have beside the Singer one:

That's a neat little gizmo!! Thanks for showing Tammi!! Will look at those boxes of odd parts at the thrift stores a little more closely!

it would not be needed on a 301 as you can drop the feeddogs .. One of the reasons I love the 301's

Deb - that's what I was hoping to get people to do. I bet there are tons of fun attachments that end up in homes where they never get used.

melmerr1 - yes, you're right. I should have specified that. Though I do find the 401s for instance prefer the feed dog cover plate with the monogrammers vs just raising the throat plate, so there may be a use for it on the 301.

untill you find one here is the work-around: the plastic blank packaged in the package of writable CD's held in place with double sided tape. Yes, my 301A is in neutral and the feed dogs dropped, but I still like to have the slots covered, it is just smoother.
