I found a Brother in a case heavy, heavy machine. Would it be worth picking up? Goodwill for 10.00. Also a machine that looks like a TnS but it says Schoolastic on the front in a table for 10.00.

I would probably pass on both of those... depending on what the Brother actually is.

This is one of those occasions when you need to sneak a pic of the machines and post them. There are so many different Brother machines that it's very hard to tell.

As for the Singer Scholastic ones, I'd look it over if the seller would let me, and if the gears were good I might go for it.
But I'd only do that to service and flip it.
