Last fall I picked up my first vintage machine - a Singer Red Eye in a treadle cabinet. It needed some cleaning and polishing- both machine and cabinet - and was missing a few parts. After lots of reading, mostly on this board - I finally put the belt on her this morning and TA-DA - she sews - and is so quiet. Still needs a little work on the tension and practice with the treadle technique - but I am one happy camper. A great big thanks to everyone on this board who is so generous with help and information.
