Soooooo. A colleague at work showed me a pic of her dad standing in front of a street-front shop labeled Bruckner Sewing Bee. The store was run by her granddad in Brooklyn. She told me that there were a "few" Bruckner sewing machines made. Have you ever heard of this machine?

Bruckner was no doubt buying Japanese machines in quantity and badging them.

Ad from Butler Brothers, a large mail order house in Chicago, offering stencil of choice with purchase of 5 sewing machines. Sewing Machines are by Davis. Offer underneath bold "Sewing Machines" on top. Circa 1920.

I didn't notice "Bruckner" on the Ismacs list but I wouldn't doubt there are a few out there.

Oh, thanks for the info. I love the Japanese badged machines but I'm hoping the Bruckner were Davis machines related 'cause I'm a fan of Made in America goods. I'll share this tomorrow at work. I'd love to chat with her dad about the Brooklyn store.

Did the post WWII Japanese and Germans and Italians (Axis) badge machines on a small scale? Not real familiar with them. Bruckners Sewing Bee must have been a Mom and Pop operation as I didn't find any reference to it on the internet.
