The Cam Thread
#53
Now everything is on one thread, I tried to re edit but could not. Sorry for the duplication. I thought this would be easier to see what I have. As I said before cam #2 and 5 are missing from the set. I don't have this machine. I just could not leave them in the thrift store,.

24 cams that came with my Dressmaker SWA-2000 (made in Japan). Zigzag doesn't work so I haven't been able to try them out.

Folks, I have cams for a Singer 328-K, and for a Singer 403-A. As was mentioned previously, I got 8 or 10 of the flat cams with my machine in 1963. The Singer 403 had only one cam with it, but I've been looking around and found most of the (I think) 21 made for the 403, the Touch & Sews, 600 and 700 series. The Touch and Sew top hat cams will fit the 403, but the white flexi-stitch won't work (so my son says--he worked on SMs for 14 years. I saw an auction listing on e-bay the other night for a lot of "50" top hat cams, listed for something like $69 or so. Then, there are other listings that have the Top Hat cams priced at $5 to $10 each. I have most of the ones for the 403, but not all! That's okay, I really don't need any more! I'm not familiar with a lot of the machines that use the various cams -- so I'm no help there!

Here is a pic of my new machine, New Home, and her cams and things. Rodney asked that I post them for anyone who is interested. The cams are different sizes from about 3/4 of an inch to about 1 1/4 inches.

Thank you! As of yesterday there was very similar, maybe identical machine in the Centralia Goodwill. It was missing some key parts so I didn't take it home. It kind of looked like some kid unscrewed everything easy on it.

McKee 850 camset
Hello all,
Following are a few pics of the cams used on the McKee. The cams measure 1-1/4" across and are the smallest top hats in my collection. There are 18 in this set and I see another on e-bay with 24 cams. I was told that some Whites use this size cam. Also I show the stitch length and width settings to produce the decorative stitches shown.
