Can anyone tell me about this machine - value perhaps?

Back clamp feet turn up regularly, just not as plentiful as the low shanks. There is even a lady who sells converters for these, I think they are still available. It makes it easier to fit buttonholers (which are very nice), various low shank attachments and still keep the original presser bar.

There is some info on the converter in this blog post. The email adddress is [email protected] and it's $25 (last update september this year). This is the sort of thing I spent quite a bit of time (hours on the web) searching and reading up on before i found it. The Teadle On net is the best for info and help on these old m'achines.
