Be interesting to see the serial number. It looks exactly like my 1952 model 128. I paid $35 for the machine and a rather beat up case - it will look better after Christmas when I have time to devote to it. No attachments with mine.
Go for it. Billy (lostn51), one of the vintage machine gurus, says they are desirable machines. Did you notice the lack of chrome and the flatter finish? The materials were needed for the armed forces in the Korean conflict, so Singer used different materials and processes.

I wondered about the flatter finish and the fact that it didn't have all the fancy stickers. It is still in it's original wood box but the clasp on the end are gone I think. They were closing so I was rushing. I'll email the owner and tell her to hold it for me till Tuesday when I can get there and look a little closer.

Very nice machine. I found one at the Goodwill several weeks ago. It had the motor off of it in a box, no case and I don't think it had a foot pedal. It was priced at $30.00. I think this one is in real good shape by the looks of it. I love the old singers. I have 4 FW's, 3 301's, a 99K, 185J, and I just bought a 503 a month or so back. I am just about singer poor.OL

Please do not pass this up. You will have an expensive antique to show off. I found one in an attic of an old house we boughtsome 15 years ago. Was offered $250 for it but refused that about 10 years ago. Will pass it on to a family member some day. M
