Five hundred bucks? Sheesh, they're not that special. There's even plans on the net for building them.

NJ Quilter, not trying to say yours isn't special, you got an awesome deal. But $500? No way I'd pay that much even if I could afford it.

I saw one about a year ago, I think they wanted $150 for it and you had to pick it up, and it was 500 miles away.

Later I hit pay dirt, found one for only $20. Beautiful shape except -------- some one had modified the legs and it stood only 16 inches high. So I got it anyway and have since put pipe extension legs on it that work very well.
Next problem ------ my FW is a 1934 with the bobbin tension on the front instead of the top and it won't fit. So I will wind the bobbins I need and take the tension thing off and use it that way.
By the way, I love my little Midge FW.

I've seen the crazy folks asking $500 but most ads I've seen seem to be in the $100 plus range. Still too rich at that point for my cheap blood! I only paid $40 for the FW (in excellent condition I might add) so why would I pay more than that for the table??? Hubs kind of looked at me sideways when I told him what I was doing but then I told him the prices being asked (and apparently paid) and he seemed less skeptical. He was actually pretty impressed with it when I got it home.

I'll keep looking and let you know if I find another deal on one. You're not that far away and it's an easy excuse to get more crabcakes.

WHAT???? You won the lottery! Of an FW table, that is. That's the best deal I've ever heard of and those tables are hard to come by. Doing the happy dance for you!
