I alao found a Dressmaker for $5 - The model number is Model 590 and serial # 0386, but can't find a manual for it.
Did you get one with yours? And, were there any attachments? I'm still on the hunt!

Does yours have the tensioner on the side like the one posted? If so, then you can basically follow the manual for a Singer model 15. I bought one, at a thrift store, that looks very similar to the one in the original post ( I added a pic) and it my favorite machine, right now . It sews so smoothly.

I couldn't figure out know how to thread it but Muv has a Youtube video showing how to thread a model 15 and those directions worked for me. Good luck with yours.

You can download a generic pdf manual here. It takes short shank attachments which are easy to find.
