Sovereign Precision & dressmaker machines
My hubby found these machines at a yard sale and I know nothing about either one. The Sovereign is a pretty blue (heavy, metal) machine for $20 that has had very little use. Not sure how to date it, but I'd say 50's or 60's just from the looks of it. The Dressmaker is an older, white model with brown trim (also very heavy) in a white case for $5 which is very dusty, but the machine itself is very clean. Are either of these considered a "good buy"?

yeah - you got some deals. Show a picture and we'll help narrow things down. The Dressmaker's were made in Japan - some nice machines. Is it deluxe (zigzag) Where is the tension on the Sovereign? The ones on the side are Japanese 15 clones. We have a collection of them on here http://www.quiltingboard.com/picture...p-t164361.html Look at the sticky - Muv has some great videos about cleaning up the old sewing machines.
