Default felt cord

Hi all,

I'm rebuilding the motor on my newly aquired Model 15 Singer and the felt cord in the grease cups is nasty.

Can that be cleaned?

Is there a replacement part I can order from somewhere? I know mcmaster has some but shipping is outrageous.

Thanks

Sew-Classic has it for the 15-91 and other machines. $0.59 per inch. Don't know what the shipping cost is.
