Default Folding table for sewing machine

I have a folding table that I bought. I was told it was for a 221 but I can't get mine to fit in it. The opening measures about 17 3/4 by 8 1/2. It does not have the little notch that the featherweight opening has. The insert has a letter "P" on it! and the numbers A94?655. Number is hidden under clip, could be 6 or 8. The table is in good shape and had black sides and black legs! Can anyone tell me what size sewing machine really fits in this table? Thanks for any help!

I would suspect that this table is for the Singer 301 sometimes referred to as the Featherweight's "Big Sister". I know they made card tables for the 301 but haven't actually seen one. The brackets on your table are just like the ones on my Featherweight table but your opening is bigger. Someone on this Board must have one and know for sure.

It may be for a Singer 301, but it doesn’t look like mine. The one that I have is the Singer Model 316 “Monterey” Folding Table, and has an opening of 7 1/8 x 16 5/8. The Singer 301 or 301A Shortbed fit it, along with the 400-series machines (404, 401A, 403A, etc).

I think you have one of the very hard to find table 311. It's not for a FW or a 301/401 but intead would hold the base of a full size machine like the 201 - or the 3/4 size depending on the cutout.

I've never seen a real one before!!!

However, it does you know good if you want one for a FW.

HEre is the FW table

The information on the ISMACS site does not match up with the size she's given us though. It says the opening is 19" X 8 3/4"and hers is only 17 3/4" X 8 1/2". Puzzling!

Her's is for the 3/4 size machine. So it will fit the 28/128 or the 99 in a bentwood case.
