FYI, Singer 115 (?) on GW
If you're in the Hillsboro, OR area there's what looks like a Singer 115 portable on auction. I can't read the serial number to check.
Their shipping is atrocious so if you're in the area it looks to be a nice machine.

I can't be sure of the 2nd number. I'm pretty sure the number is G6X02437, I can't make out the 2nd number very well at all. Possibly G6502437. Ismacs has that number showing as a model 15. If it starts with G690 it could be a model 115. Assuming all but the 2nd digit in the serial number are correct none of the other possible serial numbers are for either a model 15 or 115.
It is a nice looking machine, I'm close enough to drive but usually fuel and shipping are within a couple dollars of each other for me. Given the track record of broken machines due to bad packaging and careless shippers I'd probably go get it myself.

Rodney,
I knew it was either a 15 or a 115 but wasn't sure which. That's why the (?) after the model number in the subject line.
The 115 is also one of the older Singers I haven't gotten yet, but since GW went to the "dimensional weight" for shipping rather than the actual weight, they've really jacked up the prices. I won't pay those outrageous prices.
So I'll just do an FYI for those in the area and wait till one shows up in my area.

I do the same thing on online auctions. If I bid too soon either the shills will jack up the price or someone with deeper pockets will outbid me. Better for me to wait for the last minute and put in my maximum amount then.
