Talk about laughing myself silly! I just saw a Singer 403-A listed for sale for $995.00. Now, I have one that my son bought for me about a year and a half ago for $41.00 at Good Will. Everything worked on mine. This one says, the LRC doesn't work (in other words the needle position cannot be changed, I finally figured out). Probably, because the person posting the ad doesn't realize you have to push in on the lever to change the needle position. Unless it was plated in solid gold, it's not worth anywhere close to $995.

This is a good repaint job on a plastic shell. The machine can still run. And I am giggling with happiness at the design.

The Elgin's gone. I like both the other two but my preference is the Pink/Black Dressmaker. Both would be great for young sewers IMO. Plenty of built in stitches and no cams to lose.

I kind of like the Kenmore's paintjob too.
Rodney

EDIT: I took a second look. The Adler's top tension assembly is missing.
