Wow...love that treadle base and cabinet!! Looks to be just the right size not to take up a lot of floor space!

As I'm fairly new to vintage machines, I've not heard of a Jones. But I love the cabinet...And the machine looks like it has beautiful decals.
Plus all of you vintage/antique machine professionals have described it as a great machine... I'm happy to be learning... I have 4 vintage ones myself...very much a newbie.
Enjoy!

Well, I'm a newbie when it comes to treadles. I do technically own another one but don't know what it is. It's in my Aunts' garage and so buried behind boxes I can't get near enough to know what brand it is. I love the Jones but won't be buying another treadle unless I find one of those convertible Brother treadle/electric cabinets.

My 1st antique I acquired is a Singer 66, treadle that has been converted as well. It's in the original cabinet. It was my great grandma's (Ma), passed to my grandma (Nanny). My Mom never has liked sewing, so lucky me got it!
I had many a wonderful summer day laying on Ma's bed watching her sew clothes for all of us.
Here's a link to some pics I posted here a while back, in the pic you can't see it, but it does have an electric motor on the back of it:

I also found a Minnesota Rotary in the cabinet for $15 on CL, works great. Hadn't heard of that brand either.
And I have 2 featherweights. One is from Great Britain, the other I just acquired.

Wonderful story, that's so cool that you have family history with your machine. I won't go into what happened to my grandmothers machine it just makes me sad now. Do you use your machine?
Reading your post made me remember that somewhere around here I have a Minnesota head. Maybe someday I'll do something with it too. I also have a FW, it's not my favorite machine but it's handy for taking to the kids place.

I just want to say that people on this group are amazing. As if the offers of help to restore the head of Mrs. Jones(as I've decided to call her) weren't enough, Rodney is going to do it himself. I told him he didn't have to take it on but he wants to do it. So thank you Rodney. I also told him it's totally okay if it can't be done. A bright red machine is on my want list any way.

I did an image search, looked on Ebay UK and a couple other places and it seems most of them are HCs. I've only found two pics of a table/irons just like mine. Can't really search for an identical machine now, can I? LOL.
