Default These are type E Flexi-Stitch disks.

Hello! I think these are called "Singer type E Flexi-Stitch disks." Not sure which machines these work with, but disks with same numbers (but different design) were included with models 690U and 720/740/760, which are all pretty rare machines. If you still have these disks and have no use for them, I can buy them from you to try in some of my machines, they might fit the machines I listed above.

Kim, thank you so much for the reply. Here are the pictures of the Singer Top Hat Cams.

Hello. I have confirmed, these disks came with Singer 690U machine produced in Japan in early 1970s. I have this machine in my collection. If you don't have use for these, I am interested.

"does this mean these particular top hats will not fit the 403?"

They will fit but they won't work.

Some cams have two rows of notches, some one. One will control the needle left/right and the other controls the feed, forward and backwards. Some machines (like the 401/403) do not have the ability to have the cam control the feed, so those double stack cams won't work.

The cams you're looking for are black but with only one row of notches and no gold on them. They fit the Singer 400 and 500 series machines along with the 600 series Touch & Sews. The ones in the Touch & Sew boxes are readily available and cheap on Ebay, if you want an original box to match your machine be prepared to pay a bit more.

My son, a former SMG for 14 years, tells me that the 403 (I have one, too) can use all of the Top Hat Cams, EXCEPT the white Flexi Stitch cams. As for those that are concave -- I don't know!
