How to Clean Up and use a vintage sewing machine - videos by Muv and Fav
#41
Thank you for the links, Miriam, and thanks Muv, for the videos. I will be watching and re-watching (slow learner, here) as I clean up my 'new' machines.
Is there also a series on how to care for the cabinets and cases? I have two treadles that need the wood and irons worked on, and I want to do it myself, but am afraid the techniques may be too modern for these grand ladies.

If you find mitred corners tricky when binding a quilt, this method may be the answer for you. No fancy gadgets needed - just hairgrips and an unpicker on a new video by Muv

Thanks Muv for making the videos. I have kept my Singer shuttle treadle oiled but I was afraid to clean it. I watched you cleaning your hand crank and applied many of the hints to give mine a good clean.
