How do you display
#11
This was taken before I got the tan FW - so it's been re-arranged a bit
This is a bit different now -and all filled
And that does not include what is in the library, bedroom and the actual sewing room

HA HA! I have one in the kitchen :-)
Display? ROFLMAO!!!!!!!!!!
My machines are all over the place. Front room, middle room, door to the bedroom, basement, garage. Every room but the kitchen and bathroom have machines. Most are burried and have to be excavated to use them.
I'm trying to rehome a bunch of them, but they don't want to leave. Matter of fact they keep inviting their friends in and I'm not sure what or where I have any more.

So far SteveH and Macybaby have the best display options here that I've seen.
I wouldn't really say mine are on display. Between my daughter and I we currently have 3 cabinet machines that we use in the LR. When my treadle machines are done being restored I'll have to decide which machines go in the LR at that time. 3 is about maximum in that space. My Singer 27 from kateluvstoquilt is too pretty not to display, it's going in the LR for sure.
It seems that I always find cabinet machines that I like and never portables. I'm trying to focus on portables just because of the space issue.
If (when) I find a good handcrank machine I'll put it in the LR too.
I have an English made bookshelf from around 1900 to 1920 that needs the glass replaced on one side. When I'm done with that project it will go in our 3rd BR and will hold a couple portable machines as well as my wife's cookbooks.
I saw pictures of a storefront that has glass shelves in the windows full of antique machines in another forum. I don't remember the name of the store though.

The store with all the sewing machines in the windows is called AllSaints Spitalfields. There is one in Virginia, just outside of D.C and one in NYC. I believe there are several others too. I'd post a photo, but I can't find the "tree" icon the directions for posting call for. It is a very cool store, with some very high-end clothing. I fell in love with a $500 wool coat, but some how it didn't fit my rural Nebraskan life style.

Oh I love all the displays, would like to figure out a place to do that. Right now I have 2 in the garage and 3 in the spare bedroom and 3 in the sewing room which I use regularly. I would like to be able to have them all within reach so I could them all.

There is a AllSaints store in Las Vegas, NV, at the Cosmopolitan Casino. I haven't visited yet but my son did and took pictures. It is our rough guesstamate that there may be a thousand machines in the front windows. Will take more photos when I visit and post some.
