How hard is it to find a low gear attachment for Grasshopper?
Do these come up often? I would think not.
Is it possible to make or McGivor something?
I am considering buying a Grasshopper which does not have its low gear attachment, but do not want to do so only to have it impossible to ever use its wonderful low gear.
All input welcome.
(Or, if anyone here happens to have one to sell or trade, you could PM me if you like :-) )

Thanks Colleen - I appreciate that link, but while I found the pinion gears, I could not see a Grasshopper Low Gear Accessory. Am I just not seeing it? Do you see a price? Sorry to be a git, I am just not finding anything other than replacement internal gears for Elna machines...

I didn't find it either, i don't think she knows what you are looking for. After all, I don't know of any other machine that has one. Fortunately, mine came with one. I never use the machine, just keep it around in case I ever need that power. :-)

Cecila,
Ray White is sitting on my sofa right now. I asked him about this gear reduction unit. He does not have any and says they are very had to find. And says it is the luck of the draw to find then on eBay.
I hope you have good luck finding one.
