I picked up this machine at a flea market today for $30.00. It is in very good condition, has all the original stuff that came w/it plus 4 extra cams. It sews wonderfully, and seems to glide right through thick fabrics ( I tried 6 layers of denim and it never hesitated). My questions are this 1)does anyone have one of these or similar? I am trying to find out what is missing because the reduction gear does not work. It looks to us as if there is something missing there, so maybe a picture of that area would help me out. 2) This is more of a generic question, but I tried FMQ on it (which I am not good at) but my bobbin thread is coming to the top a lot. I put the top tension all the way on 0 and still had bobbin thread, but I think it may be that I am moving too fast. And, will going slower make the stitches bigger because they were very tiny.

I did get the carrying case like the one pictured but mine is solid red inside.

I have one that's frozen up. I don't intend to try to save it, as it's missing the balance wheel. I'm not sure what a reduction gear is, but if I can help, let me know.
