Good for you Sunflowerzz. It's always good to help a kid get started in a positive hobby. Quality tools do make a difference in how successful they are.

How wonderful to become part of someone's story. This girl's grandfather sounds precious to go to great lengths to find her a good, solid machine that will bring her (hopefully) years and years of sewing joy--and a lifetime of gratitude for her grandpa for encouraging her desire in such a tangible way. Bless you for giving her a table as a bonus gift. It really shows your heart to share your love that way.

Awesome! I am teaching a teen to sew and started her on my 15-91 so she would know what a quality machine feels like. She made pillows for Christmas presents. If she continues to show an interest, I will gift her one of my vintage machines! Such a good feeling when the next generation shows an interest in sewing!

Thank you Jennifer and that is what her grandfather said, I asked if he thought she would think it too old or too plain looking. He said and I quote " she will just be thrilled to get one that stays together" I know as she grows in her sewing talents she will come to really appreciate her vintage machine. We all do!

Kind of like the deepening appreciation for the qualities of things and people of older times, over the throw away culture of the present.
