most likely NOT an 1890's machine. Probably that is the earliest patent it shows...
It never ceases to amaze me how a person can see 4 patent dates, and assume that the machine was made at the earliest date. As if they somehow preplanned the later dates... weird.
Nice machine though. It looks a lot like a "New Howe"
