Very cool! I would love to see it working! I don't know if I'm blind or if it's not there but I don't see a needle...?
I saw a photo of a full-size (or maybe 3/4 size) machine shaped like a lion before, but this one is new to me!

I never sew anything like this, it is fantastic!! Thanks so much for sharing. Now I will have to to hunting on the web to see what information I can find. It is so interesting all the things that the art of sewing bring.

Actually, I have , Steve. I saw one, live, in Nashville, at the 2011 ISMACS convention. It was in original condition and categorized as . It was owned by Maggie Snell and sold for $15,000 in the auction. It is called Sandt Princess. It is considered a toy machine. Designed by Max Sandt and manufactured by Stienfeld & Blasberg in Germany.
The other machine designed is that of a clown and is even more rare. My understanding is that there were as few as 2 made.
