It's raining Necchis
And this one hit me as I was innocently browsing the web:

First it was the Supernova I resisted (stupidly). Then the Lelia I picked up at the thrift store. And now this one, a BU Nova.
I've wanted a Nova since I began collecting and this one's in very good shape. But what attracted me most is the original cabinet and the lamp on its articulated arm. The cabinet needs a complete refinish (they used it as a candle holder -- sigh) but the chair is full of original Necchi presser feet and other goodies.
I purchased a BU about a year ago and the seller reduced the price substantially because it "...doesn't have a foot pedal..." At that point, I didn't know any better, accepted the price, and hauled it home. I soon found the knee pedal. The above machine was a similar situation -- they priced it low in part because "...no foot pedal..." I informed them and pointed out the knee pedal but they laughed and it didn't matter.
These are very cool machines and they're pretty commonly found. If you spot one and the price is right, grab it! (Writes the guy fighting SMAD.)

Those are cool looking machines. few yrs ago I had a chance to get one that was dark green cabinet ect. under the seat is the storage. Ha ha I open that Annnd, when they bought that thing , They had to have also bought every single item neechi sells. gets better every thing was like new, even the oil bottle was still full. it was an action, I got there early, sat at the rear and watch everyone that went to look at it. Bidding finally came to the machine, at 35$ TWO OTHER BIDDER DROPPED OUT Then, a lady started bidding, she would bid as soon as I did BUTT she never even went and looked that machine, it hit $50, I said NO MORE. auctioneer tried to get me to bid higher . nope, it was very clear that lady was a shill bidder.
Funny part at the start of this the auctioneeress say " there's a 100 $ hidden it that machine " little did she know she was right !! with all the goodie under the seat was a neechi, electric needle sharpener / bobbin winder brand new in the box.
auctioneeress wanted to cry when I stopped bidding at $50 LOLOL at Freds there is this same machine, plus a 70's? white in color neechi. black one is very stiff

I would be *envious* if I hadn't gotten the awesome 319 on CL and also the beautiful White that you pointed out the next day. I'm glad I've finally got my go-to machine (319). Done looking, I hope. Will enjoy everybody else's purchases.
That Necchi is beautiful.

Oh my, I love the looks of that machine and cabinet! And if it does sew great too ..... They may be common but I have never seen one. Maybe that is a good thing because I am out of room for any machines.
