I caught and released a 201 in a domed case in mint condition I picked up for $25 but it had a foot pedal so no help to you anyway.

I bought one about 3 years ago....with the knee bar for $30 at a thrift store...in perfect condition, I might add. It was my first 201....and I love how it sews. They make the most beautiful straight seams. Sorry....mine is not for sale....but good luck with your search. They are out there!!!

A really good straight stitcher such as the 201 series can do 99.8% of what a person needs. I rarely need a ZZ machine.

But Cari is right, that's a 101, not a 201.

Sorry, I forgot what I have learned! The 201 has the circular stitch length plate and the light in front, right? Well, best of luck when she does come along.

Yep to both, also the 101 has the round motor cover while the 201-2 has a more not round shape. Sorry, really tired, the word won't come to me.
