Default long shuttle question

From what I've found, It looks like the New Queen would take the Boye shuttle #13. However I can't find anything that tells me what that would look like or its size.

However I have a shuttle that has #13 stamped on it. Could it be that simple? None of the other shuttles I have are marked like that. It's almost the same size as the Singer - which makes me think it could be - as the shuttle size that fits the singer #22 is the "alternate" to use if the 13 does not quite fit.

I'm thinking since the machine does not come with a shuttle, I should offer $25 less. I'd like to call the seller back tonight if possible.

It's about 90 miles away, and I have to take the truck, so I'd like to be sure I'm going to buy the machine before I go look.

Thanks
Cathy

after more looking, this machine appears to be a White VS, and everything points to it having a very unique shuttle that has a pin in the middle, and it takes bobbins that are hollow.

I know I had a shuttle like that, but can't find it now, however finding bobbins may be impossible. I was wondering if maybe the machine could work with a different shuttle that does not have the pin in the middle.

I think I'll have to pass on that machine, as pretty as it is, I don't want one that I can't sew on.

Bobbins with the hole come up often on ebay.

The big problem is finding a shuttle. I was wondering if anyone has "converted" a White with the shuttle with the spindle and hollow bobbins to using a hollow shuttle with solid bobbins. I would think this is possible as long as the shuttle is the same size. I still can't find the one I had, I think it got in some of DH's "parts" stuff and may be gone for good. My DH says I'm not to buy a treadle machine and hope I can get parts so I can sew on it.

Someone else here was asking about the shuttle I have, looks like a Singer, but has the post in it. I can't see a number on this one. If they don't want it, I would be happy to chat with you via PM.
