Got a message from Billy and this is part of it. Also the 128 in my opinion was just a machine to do little small projects on. If you use one you will find out that it will vibrate at higher speeds and you will have to chase it all over the place. But you can put it in a cabinet, treadle, or make it a hand crank and you can use it like you stole it! It was never really intended to run the speeds that an electric motor lets it.
I agreed that it would be better off in a treadle cabinet.

The cabinet is worth a chunk of change anyway for being a 3/4 model cabinet. The 99, 128, 185J or K will all fit in it. They are hard to come by that is for sure.
It is a really nice machine and I would sell it as a whole unit.

Actually "godzilla" is a slang term for the finish. Singer referred to it as "crinkle". The term godzilla started over a decade ago. I'm not certain, but I was under the impression it started from those collecting the 221's with this finish (which are scarce).
Billy makes a great point on the 3/4 cabinet, they are getting harder to find. I have a 15-87 with RAF decals that has a 3/4 cabinet. I love this machine ;-).

I just got the same machine Tuesday. Mine is not in a cabinet but has a coffin top that goes with it. Mine is a portable. Looking forward to getting it clean and running. I need the front bobbin plate or front cover.

One other thing worth mentioning. 128's have a vibrating shuttle system...hense the vibrating you mention.
