Sorry, between my Apprentice being chatty and my new cell phone arriving, I did not get near a sewing machine last night.

Tonight should be a great chance to practice with the new camera stuff on the phone.

I am afraid of the Grinch and that is why I have only gotten machines locally. I get into enough trouble with that. I am sure my husband is glad that I don't get them online also. I might be tempted for a handcrank though. Haven't found any of them locally.

It is funny you should say that, I was mentioning last night that getting sewing machines in the mail is kind like Christmas but you do not know if Santa or the Grinch packed your present....

Sweet machine Steve! I love the exposed parts in the back and the decals are in very nice shape too. I think she'll run just fine after a few days of oil seeping into her joints.

love the artwork. my faceplate only had residuals of the black left, so I just stripped and polished it. willtry my luck at making a waterslide decal down the road. or perhaps machining/engraving a nicer one

If you want a color photocopier scan of the face plate for decal repro, let me know.

I have two that have this issue. It is usually wear... We have various thicknesses of bronze and Delrin shim stock that I eventually will use to resolve the issue on mine. Basically you measure the shaft front back and center and the hole in the crank front back and center, do the math for the differences, average, select the shim stock of the same thousandths as needed, trim to fit and wrap around the shaft when installing handwheel. Viola!

yes but how do you remove the wheel/axle from the pillar??

love a color scan!"" no rush though. I've got so much to do already. Still dealing with storm damage & putting window in shop. Thanks!
