I also did a Feather Weight earlier this year. I used a lot of gentle scrubbing with a soft cloth and Qtips and the following products. I don't know if you can still get the Extra Foamy but it worked great. It is used to clean car interiors. When I ran out of the Extra Foamy I tried the Turtle Wax Interior Cleaner it worked but was much slower in dissolving the dirt. After I got it as clean as possible I used the Turtle Wax Super Hard Shell car wax. It shines beautifully!

Sorry I forgot to include the Simichrome Polish I used for all the Chrome. A little goes a long way it just takes lots of polishing. On chrome parts that were very rusty I used 00steel wool to clean first and even some Scrub Buddies, the green heavy duty scouring pads, then a soft cloth and the Simichrome Polish.
I used gloves to apply this product.

Found the Extra Foamy on line: http://www.detailyourcar.com/extra-f...aner-p-27.html
I have no affiliation with this product, I thought it did a great job and hope it works for you as well.
