I'm not convinced the attachments are original to the machine, for instance the needle plate is completely wrong, and the lady had had several Kenmore machines over the years. This one is a 385.17620. Janome made. Supposedly it had needed a tune up because the "bobbin thread was looping". I got it home and I can't make it misbehave. LOL! It has a date with a lint brush and a bottle of tri-flow then we'll see how it seems, but it's quiet and seems pretty solid, for a plastic wonder.
ETA: I should also note here, that this machine also had a needle that had the bottom 1/16" bent completely horizontal. I was impressed. And decided at that point that the thread loops were likely 100% user error. I was surprised the needle hadn't broken, and the timing wasn't bad, so I suspect it was the foot that got in the way. It had the SS foot, I bet it was on ZZ and someone mashed the gas.
Then I found a Kenmore buttonholer in the closet from a packrat session at a thrift store a bunch of months ago, perfect fit.
