Both are cool! The prices don't seem unreasonable either. Not too many Victorian treadle power tools like that left around anymore and I'm pretty sure that's the first treadle buffer I've seen. Old woodworking tools is my other major hobby pretty much for the same reasons as I like old sewing machines.
Steve I'm pretty sure you could justify them as being needed for making authentic repairs to old sewing machines and their cabinets.

Oh yes... I even sent an email to the buffer guy asking if he does not sell it at that price PLEASE consider my offer....

Very cool. We have a few loggers up here in Mendo that can probably remember using tools like those.
