Default Need help finding replacement part...Sphinx

I am finally getting around to posting pics of the machine for which I need a replacement part. I am helping my niece who has her grandma's machine which went through a house fire. I have had phone conversations about the where the broken piece goes but don't exactly know where...just the general area. I am hoping some of you vintage machine gurus will show me exactly where it goes and where I can find a replacement part. Macybaby, earlier you said you may have one. Maybe in your move to your new glorious vintage machine palace you can find a part for this poor peasant!

Thanks so much to all you great people 'out there'!!

Yes TGood, yours is obviously missing the connection that moves the needlebar. Stitches will be sub-optimal until you connect it

Thanks, Grey Wuuf, a picture is worth a thousand words!! I can now see where the piece goes.

Does anyone 'out there' have a parts machine that they want to 'piece out'? I just might be interested in a chunk!
