Auction ~ $7.50
Found this as well, although it did cost me $7.50. Just couldn't see them getting thrown away. The grandaughter at the auction said this one was the first year that Mercury made an electric machine. Her grandma had a new cord put on and was using it recently.
Road trip anyone~You are welcome to it :) http://i9.photobucket.com/albums/a77...psd1ae6a0d.jpg |

That's a nice looking machine. I can see why you couldn't pass it up.

Wow, this is really nice. You ought to take it for a spin...might find out you really like it! Bet is does a great straight stitch.

Beautiful machine. I love it!

Beautiful machine, wish I was closer!

Very nice! That one I'd keep. Might put a new belt on it though, the one there is all used up.

I'd wager that if you spend a bit of time with this machine you will not want to give it up. They are reliable and make great stitches. Perfect for quilting. See how clean it is? And the face plates are beautiful. You won't find a prettier black machine. Everyone needs a backup machine, right? Darren |
Although I have sworn off any more vintage machines for a while (unless I win the lottery) I would pay $7.50 for that one in an instant and not even feel guilty.
