Glenda, tell us how did you manage to get three 301. I'm having a hard time finding one at a cheaper price than E-bay sellers want.

There were several 301's on the Nashville CL this week. I got mine from there and love it.

Our vintage Singers are from 1918, 1936, and 1948. Hey, one is younger than me!!

I have a Feather Weight and a 301 that sit side my side. Just realized the other day that they don't share feet, but bobbins they do share. I have all the attatchments for both machine. They are amazing work horses. You will love your new treasure.

We're making progress on the 301A. Hubby got the feed dogs to move. After letting it soak up the sewing machine oil for a couple of days, I tried a few stitches and she sews beautifully. She's still a little clinky above the needle but is running much more quietly than she did during our first try. I'll have to live with the discoloration in the finish, I think, but the signs of rust are gone. She still needs a little more cosmetic cleaning. I love that she has a handle. Such a blessing!
