Okay this is the project that I was tinkering on before everything went to heck and a handbasket last week.

I have a 1870's New Home treadle that was a BBQ grille and now I turned it into a <gulp> Table........I still need to make the pitman arm and Varnish the top but it should be a nice addition to the studio once it is finished.

The treadle looks much better as a table than a BBQ grill.

I bought a New Home treadle and called that number and they said it was made in 1891. I'll post a picture of it later.

Here are some photos of my 1891 New Home Treadle machine. The decals are just about gone as the clear coat was bad but I liked the coffin top. I still have to refinish the irons.

My New Home machine is quite different from what it looked like
originally. The man who painted it named it , "The Sugarplum Fairy"

I think its from about 1905
