Not a sewing machine but potentially useful
I just posted this on the "Main" but noticed this wonderful little corner of the site and thought it might be equally appropriate here.
I am looking for uses for my WWII Vintage Clicker Rather than dual-posting: http://www.quiltingboard.com/main-f1...t-t207001.html |
that is definitely cool. One possibility I see is for sports teams... obviously you can't do logo copyrighted items, but an orange T or a red A/G/SC would be ok. Only other applications I see are for factory work...
and if you love to tinker with vintage machines, then you need to hang out over here more often! |
Could you use the machine to cut thru a lightweight plastic that could make templates for quilters to use in applique? For instance shamrocks for St Patricks day but in 4 or 5 sizes, x-mas trees in different sizes, maybe bells, mittens, x-mas stockings etc. Halloween templates, ghosts, bats, witches, pumpkins but in different sizes in one package. Hearts for valentines day. I am sure you get my meaning. I usually make my own templates for applique, but something die cut in different sizes that I could by would be great. I prefer a lightweight plastic myself because I usually put a pin in it so I can cut out the fabric. Good luck.

oh yeah. No problem. One "old guy" (I'm turning 51 tomorrow) told me that a way to think about it is if you could cut it with a good solid utility knife, then the clicker can do it.
I'm going to make a quick video of the beastie in operation this weekend... |
