Pfaff 130 Machine and Table Before and After
 

I posted a thread on this 130 a while ago and how I bought it and it was locked up and had a blue motor on it. Yuck. The table was also in terrible shape. It took me quite a while, but painted the table (purists will hate it, but I love it) and I spiffed up the machine, got the dials freed and now it's sewing great. After all this work I may sell it. LOL. I just don't have the space for all these cabinet machines. I'll have to think on it. Here it is before and then after.

Candace, Nice work on the machine looks great. No purist police here I like what you did to the cabinet. Great color.

I despise the word "purists" as it's usually said with an insulting sneer to those who don't agree with the one saying it.

I only mildly dislike the red paint, but I do understand why you painted it. I would have done something with it too. I'm not sure what it's made from, but it looks like one that will not take stain and shellac well. It looks like the pressed wood or particle board type on my monitor. I would have painted it brown though.

Love those little rubber bumpers to cushion the lid. I use flat ones.

Nice machine too.

Thanks folks, adding color to the world can be fun! I was originally going to do it in silver or red glitter paint, but Lowes discontinued it, right before I decided. I still think glitter would have been cool...

Candace, I love what you did with the cabinet. What paint, and what color is it? On my monitor it looks like a brick red.
